Castaway Island or by its traditional Fijian name 'Qalito', lies thirty kilometers (twenty miles) west of Nadi International Airport in the waters of the Mamanuca Group. Accessible by seaplane, helicopter or catamaran. It is a small 174 acre private resort surrounded by a vibrant coral reef.Island Bures (bungalows) are nestled amongst the resort?s lush tropical gardens. Each free standing, traditionally thatched bure features a high vaulted hand painted ?tapa? lined ceiling, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, large bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries with a distinct Fijian accent. Most bures have one king bed with two single beds having a sliding privacy screen separating the two bedroom areas.
