Aquatio Suite Hotel is a charming new 5-star hotel that brings the unique experience of a relaxing break in one of the world's oldest cities to life: Matera, the 2019 European Capital of Culture. Opened in 2018, the hotel, offering 35 rooms and suites, occupies a unique position set into a tufa ridge in the city's Sasso Caveoso district located in the heart of UNESCO's Sassi World Heritage site. The hotel rooms, bars and external areas cover an overall area of 5000 m2, making up part of the Sassi district, which also includes a wonderful spa with a swimming pool carved into the rock, a restaurant with an outdoor courtyard and a multi-purpose hall, suitable for meetings of up to 50 people. Accessibility: the Hotel's address is "Via Conche n.12", a small street in via Bruno Buozzi (Sasso Caveoso). The main access to the Hotel is located in a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL Rioni Sassi). As per starting from the 15th August to the 02nd November 2020, the Limited Traffic Zone is not accessible by car from 09:00 am to 10:00 pm. Please be informed that no exceptions are allowed by local authorities Parking: our Hotel does not have a private parking and we suggest the following solutions to park your car: You can choose to book a car place at the private garage AUTOSERVIZI DAMASCO located in Via Recinto XX Settembre 12, at 1.5 km far from the Hotel. A shuttle service will take you from the garage to the Hotel on your arrival day and from the Hotel to the garage on your departure day. The car park daily rate is € 20,00 per night + € 5.00 per shuttle service each way. The availability of the garage is subject to limited car places, and if you would like to confirm and book your car place, an advanced reservation will be required. On the other hand you, can park the car in the blue lines on the public parking areas you will find in the main streets, as Via Lucana or Via Ridola, far from the Hotel starting from 300 mt.
