HUON BUSH RETREATS

Located in an extensive private habitat reserve, Huon Bush Retreats is central to all the attractions of the Huon Valley, 50 minutes drive south from Hobart. This award winning, carbon positive retreat offers guests a choice of contemporary, self-contained cabins, deluxe tipees and private campsites surrounded by native forest and wildlife. Relax by the fire with a glass of local wine or take in the view from your private deck. With easy access to 5km of interpreted walking tracks through rainforest, to a hidden waterfall and mountaintop, you will not miss internet or television here. Cabins are comfortably appointed with kitchen, fresh rainwater, twelve volt solar electricity for light and music (no mains electricity), eco-friendly composting toilet, cosy wood heater and a private outdoor bath. Tipees are fully carpeted, have twelve volt solar electricity, heating and share the campground kitchen and amenities. Our privacy and tranquillity is protected by 4km of winding gravel road which is steep in places. You do not need four wheel drive but you do need to be comfortable with narrow country roads.
