La Cognette is one of those pretty little hotels with a personal feel. Each room is individually designed. Some even have a small garden where you can breakfast in privacy while enjoying the first rays of sunshine, before taking a stroll through the cobbled streets of Issoudun. The hotel is just a stone's throw from the outstanding restaurant once lauded by Balzac. Today, chefs Alain Nonnet and Jean-Jacques Daumy attest to the prose and the taste buds of one of France's greatest food-loving authors.
