The Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace Hotel is located in the Bayahibe/La Romana region on the south eastern coast of the island. ##Location
The region of La Romana - Bayahibe is known for its numerous catamarans and brightly coloured wooden fishing boats. Bayahibe is a small fishing village with the gorgeous beaches, a picturesque harbour and a traditional Dominican atmosphere. The village has one main street, and a handful of smaller streets off it, with small restaurants and bars serving a variety of local Dominican dishes. Only a short trip from Bayahibe is Isla Catalina, an uninhabited island and the ideal place to relax and enjoy unspoilt Caribbean nature and some of the finest snorkelling and scuba diving in the region. As well as the hotels extensive all inclusive facilities there is also the opportunity to try banana boat rides, snorkelling, fishing, horse riding, water skiing, golf and the dive centre - all locally available at extra charge.
Please beware that visitors to the Dominican Republic will need to be in possession of a passport that is valid for at least 6 months AFTER their return date to their country of origin.
##Accomodation
All rooms are located just steps away from the beach and have amenities such as air conditioning, phone, balcony/terrace, safety-deposit box and hairdryer, among others. Guests can choose from four types of accommodation superior rooms with two queen-size beds and one king size bed - with or without sea front as well as premium rooms with two queen-size beds or one king-size bed and a living area and couple retreat sea front with one king-size bed and a Jacuzzi.
##Eating and Drinking
Hotel boasts three bars, one of them a snack bar, and nine restaurants. La Yuca is an international buffet style restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Il Palco is an Italian a la carte restaurant open for dinner only, reservations required. The same goes for Asian Bambu, international Viva Cafe, buffet-style La Roca, Mexican Viva Mexico, fusion 25 Restaurant, gourmet Atlantis and authentic Italian La Pizzeria.
