Moritzdorf

Moritzdorf is a small village with mostly thatched, lovingly maintained old houses, which was placed under protection because of its originality from the county of Rügen. After the demolition of existing structures: in 1996, in line with the plans of a Rügen-based architect in co-operation with the Biosphere Reserve, as well as historical preservation, there emerged a house that was fitting to the sensitive location. In the ensemble built in the typical regional thatched style there are spacious double rooms with modern comfort. Our kitchen is known for its interesting traditional dishes, including fresh fish from local waters and game dishes and homemade cakes and ice cream. At the Hotel Moritzdorf, the tranquillity and the virtually unspoilt environment along the Rügen bays close to the lively seaside resorts of Sellin, Baabe, Göhren and Binz combine with wide white sandy beaches, offering visitors chances for bathing and various entertainment offers.
