Overview\nThe hotel has been known as Queen Christina's Hunting Palace, but today, this mansion-like building is converted into a unique hotel which carries a very high standard throughout. Both the rooms and the hotel in general are full of character, where clearly a lot of thought has gone into the interior - keeping with the modern Scandinavian design, but with a warm and welcoming feel. Sdermalm has become one of the most popular places to open restaurants and cafes, which makes Hotel Hellsten's Malmgrd an optimal place to stay for food lovers.\n\nLocation\nHellstens Malmgrd is located at Sdermalm in the heart of Stockholm, one block from the metro station Zinkensdamm without any interference from busy streets. It is also within walking distance of the Old Town and many other attractions. \n\nRooms\nThe 52 rooms are furnished in typical Gustavian style and include antiques and original fireplaces. All rooms have an en suite shower and a TV. \n**Please note that that Economy Double rooms contain a Queen-size bed.** \n\nFeatures\nThe story from 1770 is in the walls. Strong colors in the rooms' walls, furniture in typical Gustavian style, some antiques from different parts of the world and articles from exciting places spiced with unexpected details. Unique original fireplaces, some of the brand Gustafsberg, are remaining in the building. \nThe hotel offers several conference rooms that are ideal for both meetings and training courses but also for events of all kinds.\n\nFood and drink\nThe breakfast is served on the veranda or in the the garden during the summer season.\n\nExtra information\n** The hotel has not yet had its official opening, and work is still being undertaken in some rooms and the 2 lobbies (due to finish end of October 2011). Work at the hotel only takes place during daytime (week days) and at minimal disruption to guests.
